Women in e-Discovery: How Will You #BeBoldForChange? [VIDEOS]

2017-03-28+0000| | Community, Education & Certification

blog_be-bold-for-change.pnge-Discovery asks each of us to be bold. Whether we’re keeping ourselves up to speed on the latest legal developments, influencing our peers to embrace technology for greater efficiency, or encouraging customers to trust analytics, this industry asks us to challenge “the way we’ve always done it” and pushes us to the edge of our comfort zones.

So it’s fitting that this year’s theme for International Women’s Day is “be bold for change.” For women in e-discovery, being bold means having the courage to champion not only legal technology—but ourselves as women in the workplace.

In celebration of International Women’s Day, we asked customers and industry friends to talk with us about being bold: How will you be bold for change this year? How would you encourage other women in e-discovery to do so?

Alison Grounds, Managing Director, Troutman Sanders eMerge

Krista Connelly Mayer, Director of Business Development, CDS

Christine Chalstrom, President & CEO, Shepherd Data

Rebecca Fennessy, Director of Technical Solutions, Inventus

And a concluding thought on career development:

“Be fearless, bold, savvy, and kind. If you don't have a JD or MBA, get one (or both)—they will catapult you to better jobs. Education debt is always good debt. (Going on vacation to Hawaii is bad debt.)”

Now it’s your turn—how will you be bold for change this year? Tweet us @kCura or let us know in the comments below.
